Compressing data and making files smaller without distrusting the image size.GIF and JPEG formatted files are compatible with the "lossy" compression with a slightly lower image quality.
To Optimize Graphics in Fireworks
1. Open the file you want to optimize in your Fireworks application.
2.Go to File and select “Export Wizard†to start the optimization process by.
3.In the first box that displays, select the option "Select an export format" and then click "Continue".
4. In the next box that displays select "The Web" and then click "Continue", and then click "Exit".
5.A window will with a set of compression settings will display. Click on the Formats drop-down menu and select "JPEG" . Adjust the number in the box to set the image "Quality (around 85 is a good value). You can select any value and look at the preview the image.
6. Click the "Export" button on the bottom right. Browse to the folder you want to save the image in.
7.Click on "OK to save.
