Is there a way to find it somehow from the saved archive or something?

I usually keep my working file with the font still intact before converting a separate file (for the client) to outlines, but there are some font ID programs you can use that might be able to identify the font. I have used 'What the Font':
WhatTheFont! « MyFonts
WhatTheFont! « MyFonts

Aa PaintedPony said, the best option is to try online to recognize you font on WhatTheFont! « MyFonts or if unsuccessfull, you can try their forum, you get reply from users.... WhatTheFont! « MyFonts.

When you convert your font in a curves, you cant see which font is that, because you are converted your font in a curves, and he is not the font for writing, he is an object.
But the system of XP, Win7 or which you have can see what is the font which you are converted in curves or if you are not converted in a curves-example corel draw.
This is a good information, because you can write on paper which the font is a problem to find, and if you go on C-Windows-Fonts, maybe you can find the font-very simply and creative for use

So I think that you are going on right click on a text convert to curves, but once when you are converted the font you cant go back, but if you are on a second computer, and it says an error with font, you can write on paper which font is that, and you can find maybe in c-windows-fonts

What I do is, Copy & make another layer of the font, one is made to outlines & the original i keep it hidden to refer whenever, easier than writing or memorizing.

Users of CC version can use Package command which collect used images and fonts, and create report.txt file with all details.
For lower version the same thing can be done with ArtFiles ( Art Files 2 - File Collection for Adobe Illustrator Documents )
