Hiya guys, I heard some bad news about paypal. They are limiting your account without reason... or 'excuse' reason to holdback your funds. It happened to me last few days. I send them all my legal documents (base on their list) to uplift the limitation, then they did... upon restoring my account I hurriedly transfer my funds to my bank account, and luckily got my money. But then, after 2 days... it did again..they limit again my account, and asking me again those papers, etc...
As of now, I cannot withdraw or send money :( which hinders my online business.

It's scary to stay your money with them. Let me know if you experienced it. And what alternative for Paypal?

I googled around here are some links that I found;

Interesting, I have never had a problem with them. The most problems I have ever had was technical problems with their website, and a phone call always takes care of that quickly...

No complaints here from Paypal, ever. Wish my bank was just as efficient :D

Hello I am new to this amazing design forum.
I would like to be a designer.
I've have read the requirements, is payments only sent by Paypal?
If not is Western Union acceptable?
IF Western Union is unacceptable, I will simply just make a Paypal account.
Recently Paypal needs verification from both bank and credit card and requires a lot of delay before I can get started. I just wanted to make sure if this is the only payment method.

Thanks,
GameKings

Just a note: For any designers using Western Union, you can expect to wait up to 2 weeks to get your money. For some reason, they won't accept online payments from my mastercard :(

I have no paypal, western union is te right way

Okay, to reverify...Designers can be paid by Paypal (the easiest and cheapest method), MoneyGram, and ikobo.com. Any fees for sending will be from your prize money.

Paypal is the cheapest fees, and the least amount of wait for your payment. Western Union, MoneyGram both have high fees, with a wait time of 2 weeks (give or take) for me to physically go to their offices and send the money. MoneyGram is generally cheaper, with fees averaging $15 to $25. Western Union has fees of around $30 to $50 for the average prizes.

Ikobo works as well, but payment can be delayed for a week or so. They also give me a limit every month, so there can be a wait time to be paid if you have already reached your limit.

So, Paypal, MoneyGram, Ikobo and Western Union. Easiest and cheapest being Paypal.

Just enter your email there and then later we can talk about your payment method. We will need to work out the payment method before you enter any contests. It would suck to win and not be able to be paid :)

How long must we usually wait before receiving the prize money? I recently won in a contest but up until now I have not receive the prize. Based on what I read, after sending the files, the client should confirm the receipt of the files by notifying the admin or moderator and I would in turn have to send my paypal. Both of these are already done. So what is there left to do.

It's just a matter of when Nevadabadgirl logs back on the computer and does this part. She is really busy off line and has limited time online as of right now.
But don't worry I'm most certain it'll be soon. ;)

I know everyone wants things done now, but not everyone has unlimited time to do everything when they are on the net. Some paitents(sp) when dealing on the web is needed.
