A piece well done!
It was an extreme pleasure for me to help moderate this contest!
What an awesome body of work! I'll never forget this contest. Thanks so much for your vote domvarano!
I have been a student of spirituality and philosophy my whole life. And that's where the truth is; within each person, as opposed to "out there." Every significant teacher who was and is on this planet says that.
I absolutley hate to pick a 'favorite,' however, if asked, mine would be the two below, from Ram035 as my favorite and DisyDesign's as my second favorite. I am not the judge of this contest by any means, so please don't be confused by my opinion.

The others that I thought were strong were dragonfly, rougefemme, XPU100, and whosbehindyou. Dbantner's was coming close!!! I think you got the right message dbantner, but I think your technique needs just a little more work. You're a very good communicator. The messages were strong!
My critique was always looking at:
1) What's the first thing that 'hits' me? Is it clearly communicating the message?
2) How is the composition; that is, how are the lights and darks working in harmony on the page? Is there a 'flow' to it?
3) How were the colors working together?
4) How was the typography working in the composition?
Meeting this criteria makes for an aesthetically pleasing piece, which is also clearly communicating the message, or messages in some cases.
With Ram's, it gave me a feeling of womb-like, which is being in this other realm of before you're born or something, with the person making a gesture of meditating or thinking. In other words, going within. The way the angel wings are working with the rest of the piece, it just feels whole. The use of color is a golden color, which is very related to the subject matter. The only thing I think needs a little tweaking is the type. It's ok, but for a piece like this, I think Ram should follow through and really make it all that it can be, by working the type a little more.
With DisyDesign's, I really liked how the focus was going; within. I think we've all looked closely in a mirror, and looked very closely into our pupil. It's so dark in there, and this is where our physical vision is coming from. It's always fascinated me in a sense. I also like this one for it's color use, and the clever way the nude figure is so subtly included in the reflection. This also communicates how looking out from that pupil, reflects our commonly agreed upon universe. Very clever. The type use is contemporary, and is used in a way that's related to the message.
With rougefemme's, I also thought this one was VERY strong, but I think that it was using too many colors for my taste. I think if it were down to 3 colors, it would be much stronger. I love the extra words being used in the piece. They work. It feels very child-like, playful, spiritual, and innocent. I think the type could be kerned just a bit to make it stronger. It takes the message of the contest further, that not only is the truth in you, but because of it, you are capable of anything that is of love, peace, or joy.
I totally support the moderators/facilitators in their decision! A VERY hard contest to judge to say the least!!!! So again, congratulations rougefemme!
Well done!!!!!

Until next time . . .

I actually like DisyDesign idea. The colors are so amazing. And the idea that the eye is the window to the soul and the truth that is in you is so clear. Just an amazing design. I mentioned other designs that i liked on a previous post.
About rougefemme's design. Read it well. Says: "be natural, be free, be real". This is exactly what the design is all about. The design is a non conformist one. And the message that it sends out i think it is "the truth is you".

@ resurepus: i don' agree with your decision. many other work should be rewarded..and i'm not talking about mine. just to name someone: intuitdesign. anyway, i con not see any special technique of drawing and/or compisting in the winning poster, no color matches or armonies. just my point of view.
bye
Please, lets not be sore losers. All the designs were great and it was a difficult decision choosing a winner. There are many times in life when the client won't always choose the design you think is best -- it is the way the industry works. We felt that this particular design encompassed the entire theme properly, and the style was reflective of the designer.
Some other great entries that I particularly liked were both of Stojan.kosic's and DisyDesign's entries.
Congrats to all. You should be proud to put these posters in your portfolio!

Neupix. I find your last post very innapropiate. Domvarano just posted his point of view, why he cant??. He did it with respect, and not using offensive words like "sore loser". I dont know if his post were bad intentioned, i find him and everyone in all his right to give a point of view as he/everyone was part of this contest. With your last post youre taking this as if you were an "unquestionable jury", are you??
Yes. He has every right to post his point of view, but I don't think it is appropriate to be saying that the winning design has no style, colour harmony, or special "technique".
If by unquestionable jury, you mean that I was part of the moderator team who voted on the winner, then the answer is yes. I did not find my last post inappropriate, but I apologize if you feel this way.

It was quite surprising to me to be the winner....cause I saw many others awesome works!!! but anyway I dont feel like I didn´t do a good work .........
Now, I want to say something about my poster........first......you really need to know about art, design and illustration tecniques if you want to say that you "don´t see any armony, or color matches, or that some colors are caotic" ..........if you know something about art.....you know that there are many important artists that were very creative and awesome........and some ignorant people said that they didn´t saw
"any armony, or color matches, or that some colors are caotic" just cause the didn´t like it....and now they are admirated by every country....you have to see the proupose of the autor, his intentions with colors and the message he or she is trying to expres, my poster shows a contrast between the outside world and the inside (the girl) the outside world sometimes seems to be blur, confused, ("caotic" by the way) but if you look inside.....things are more clear and illuminated by the truth..... I´m agree with express your poitn of view, but is very important to be sure about it.....and justify your opinion with knowledge.......cause it seems that you just "dont like it" and you can´t judge a work just by your taste....
So.....thanks to design contest for the oportunity to show our design an artistic skills and create this cool space to express all our creativity !! really enjoied it!!! and im looking forward for the next!!! are you ready???
