Contest Title: The 7 Seven Deadly Sins
Description: Illustrative postcard depicting one of the seven deadly sins. You may use photos, illustrations, and type to convey the sin...I want to see MAJOR creativity;)......think outside the box....I will give regular feed back, I am excited to see your entries...
LET THE CONTEST BEGIN!
The seven deadly sins are:
Lust
Gluttony
Greed/Avarice
Sloth/Laziness
Wrath/Anger
Envy
Pride/Hubris
The fine print...RULES
The dimensions of the postcard are 4x6 inches
You may enter up to 3 times.
The contest will end 1/31/07
If you use photos, give credit.
Please use tags to upload your postcard.
Keep it clean...no nudity, Religious subject matter that could be offensive....etc.....
HAVE FUN...this is a piece you can use in your portfolio, so even if you don't win, it'll be a great piece to show off:)

sorry rinaldi... it seems that when i was a baby i hit my head too much times 
we have to enter only three sins (one per postcard), or we have to enter the seven sins (one per postcard) and we have 2 more opportunities to "enhace" them?

Gathering some material now. Will produce entry #1 tonight.
edit: I did infact produce a piece tonight, which is fine.
But fine.... is not enough for a designer I think. So, not satisfied, so no post yet!
I did my 6x4 inches on 72dpi which goes to 150dpi in the new version.
So actually I did a really detailed sketch, but am busy doing the final piece.
But I'm on "lust" and the girl is looking at me all night. Quiting for today, otherwise I dream of her all night
Tomorrow I'll drop a post here with the final result.
Nice subject, really like it!

Will there still be the prospect of the $100 poll?
no, unfortunatelly not this month. I would like to have the monthly $100 prize back some time in the future, but at the moment it is just not possible (unless we find a sponsor for the community contests section)

Ha, took some time. Had some crashes, unsaved work, etcetera.
But at last, my first entry is in.
I am not totally satisfied with the outcome yet. But I wanted to put an end to this. The subject Lust is very challenging to visualise. Gimme words and i'll manage, but a visual, decent interpretation is quite hard I experienced.
I like the subject "7 sins" that much, that this is my first piece in a serie of 7.
Within 2 days I shall post two other Sins as entries and soon after that, the whole 7 Sins Serie will be available. Challenging, but fun to do.
It's 6x4 inches on 150dpi. Done in Adobe Photoshop (and Flash for the black tentacles).
Photographs: Stock on my desktop (came from Siberian Model-site) & Stock Exchange Hungary

you've taken the sin 'lust' and illustrated it, it definitely conveys that:)...I would like to see an image that relies more on itself, rather than the words;)
I love the little flourishes with the hearts, nice touch, and your colors are good...This is a great start, can't wait to see more.....
(please keep canvas at 72dpi, since we are viewing on screen)

Hi all,
I am ready with two of my entries. I want to post more but unfortunaltely I have no time to finish them. I made these 2 pieces of my work a bit abstract cos I don't like so obvious themes in my art works. So I chose wrath(anger) and gluttony. I hope u appreciate them in their artistic way of expression:)
