another idea...kind of a "this is my way, my brand" thing...
Nice type intrepid, what font is it?
I prefer our first one over the 2nd. I think the warm colors combine better with the slogan 'I am not afraid of competition' and imho the 2nd has the contrast in the wrong places.

intrepidguppy, great work on the type/layout. however I think both the entries miss something in color.
I have to agree with lowen.f that the contrast in the second one is not quite there. And also the word "competition" is not very clear.
Maybe you could try to highlight the logo somehow in the first banner? I think it might make it more interesting.

I'm back from my vacations, i went snowboarding with my friends, we had a really great time and very funny moments.
But now it is time to work!!!
