There is a caption feature in WordPress that lets users add captions for any image they upload. Right after you upload any image, your WordPress media uploaded displays boxes for entering the caption, image title, and description. You just need to fill in the caption text box for adding a caption to your image. If you have an existing image that you want to add a caption to, select the image for editing and you will see the caption text box there in the editing options.
