Contest Expired

I just wanted to know what happened to the guaranteed contest which ended 3 months ago, does anybody got reward or not?

"The abandoned contest will be placed in the designers chat forum for designers vote and choose winner of the abandoned contest. The The top 3 voted on entries will be the 3 winners. The prize will be split with these 3 winners."

Sometimes it takes more than 3 months to end a contest, because the admins are trying to reach out the client repeatedly and convince him to choose a winner by himself.

if contest holder did not reply to the admin in 1 month there will be voting the 3 winners

This will wait for much longer. The contest is from late March.

We do not know that yet. DC has to leave it as much as possible in case client comes back. 

I do not want to frighten you, but we had clients comebacks after a year. 

If you do not want to reuse your design, then I suggest you just leave it there until client comes back or it goes to abandoned status and voting.

that's to long if contest holder comeback in 1 year,, and the client first contest,,

7kinds, We have already replied you. I know a year is long period, but yes it can be like that.

Our talk about this expired contest will not change its status or anything. Since you can not reuse your designs, just leave it as it is until client is back or go for vote.

Btw, I didn't have problem opening the contest from the link.

As of today, there's 36 contests matching these criteria of split eligibility; Guaranteed & Expired

As you can see, the oldest one here is 18 months! can you imagine! Contests are labeled as "abandoned" for many reasons:

Sometimes CHs just change their mind/plan or get the designs from an agency or elsewhere and just drop/forget about the contest they started!

But sometimes CHs will come back months later and will want to pick a winner by themselves, as @ramsro mentioned, so... that's another viewpoint too.

Please go vote on abandoned contests,  many times  I have to ask for more votes

I will try  to add new ones in a quicker fashion once there are 3 clear winners

I get clients coming backs after a contest has expired

the latest ... almost 3 yrs... guess what   they paid with Amex.... Amex doesnt have refund time limits and 100% side with clients... We had to pay this chargeback that was  3 yrs old abandoned contest

then we also have them comeback  yr later demanding we open the contest

it is a nightmare to keep track of sometimes
