Corel is a good for working with proportions, he have a different angle to work with this. Later, you must save project text converted as logo as Ai format to work with Illustrator, because, he is not craizy with pixels. I am experiment this, I hope helpful!!!

Hi All,
I our office we use Corel and Adobe, Personally I am a Corel user. When I have to do the same stuff one of our designers does on illustrator, I am probably twice as quick with corel. It always amazes me when I see how many clicks/manipulations they have to do to get something simple done. Saying that, I am sure there's pro's and cons for both packages.
