1.Launch your Firebug application
2.Go to the HTML tab to access the HTML-code modules.
3. Use the search command to find any element. Firebug will display the HTML of your elements even those changed using Javascript or other languages
4.Click on any elements, and you will see its HTML code popping up in another window.
5. Firebug makes it simple to display different HTML modules to what is on the eye level of your website.
5.Use the edit and reload feature to make quick edits on your pages.
6. You can optimize or tweak elements and then go straight to testing them by reloading your page in Firebug.

Well You can do the same with Chrome also
