Is there a way  to  delete a work once and have it gone from  the system, instead of having to  with draw it for the contest and then remove it from public works?

It seems kind of redundant to  have to  do  this twice.

well... for designers  it is a two step process,  mods  and admins   or maybe just admins  can completely delete image

They set it up this  way on purpose  as a ssafeguard for designers  becasue once deleted  it is gone   :)

I wonder, what is the point to delete the submission, when it's not erased permanently from the server. The designer can always submit this design again when submission is deleted by accident. What is the point of saferty issues? For who?

If you delete your gold silver or bronze medal  then you can't get that back!  if you delete a rated entry  you will lose the points if  entry is completely removed  so that is why the safety reasons for you designers! It is for YOU  the designers, once gone  the medals are gone and the points are gone

just saying...

No one is interested in my public profile, so immediate deletion is not required when I remove an entry.

Points are far and few between.

Competitive interest is null.

The efficiency of entry removal is not an issue.

Thanks

P.S. I would like to see a button to show just the CH comments in the contest comments thread.

Thanks sharie for this comment, I didn't know that rated submissions and ratings are linked this way
