If it's a web design company that ripped your website I understand going so crazy over it. But most rippers are very small, usually crappy sites. I normally just send a miffed email to the owner and often times they take it down. If not, I threaten to contact their host, and that almost always works. I don't think they should be called out publically though. They'll learn eventually. But like I said if they're making money off your work then the friggin gloves are off, go straight for the balls.

yea that really sucks... I've had the same thing happen to me several times. I've even had where someone actually ripped my website (did a crappy job at that), registered my username to a couple of forums, and actually started trying to conduct business as me. Boy did I have alot of explaining and cleaning up to do... I sent threats via email but they were ignored so I contacted his host and also had a lawyer buddy of mine call and send him a letter in the mail since his domain was registered and all of his contact information was viewable lol... silly rabbit

And what about this stupid m%#^#fuc@#. He managed to sell logos and templates of other designers to clients acting like he did it by himself. He opened a number of accounts in various design contest sites and run a fake contests with significally lower prizes. Then he won a couple of contests with design submited from his "designers" that were throwing them a bunch of logos daily. I was personally involved in couple of contests and was near first pick. When he saw that he could loose those contests, he even posted my logos under another fake user (forumlover) as his own, or in another case as work pm'ed to him from his friend designer, and encouraged other designers to make better ones. His fake id's are recently banned from those forums, but...

In my opinion its horrible that people would do that.
In all honesty, I can't even when stand those who design websites use templates that they haven't created. Everything should be unique and created from the ground up... ~sigh~
