guys, I was wondering if any of you could know how to stream video to a webpage. Say we have a regular webcam and want to publish the video it captures on the website. Or maybe publish pictures every 5 minutes (to save the traffic). How would you do that? What software would we need?
Any advice will be appreciated!

ahh Man I don't know ... as I said I've never done it before and don't really know what all it entails.....but maybe try looking for something like a free version of Clipstream (http://www.clipstream.com/) whew! expensive ....lol Hope that helps your cause ..... by the way if you don;t mind sharing .... what are you planning on using it for?? DC .net ?? ..If it's still a secret.....well, I understand ....

To upload images, say every 5 seconds, that's quite easy. All it needs is a very simple software. I think most webcams come with one. Basically it grabs an image from either your video camera or digital and uploads it to a designated place on your server. Just designate a folder to upload into. Use the same image name so it will auto rewrite the image. Then have an HTML that displays that image and have the HTML meta to refresh the page every few seconds. Ideally around the same time when the camera snaps the image.
