I was assigned to design a website for the company I work for. Nothing special, just a standard 5 page thing, except for one small issue - they want to broadcast video from a camera (something like this one) and to be honest I have no clue about video broadcasting and I would really appreciate any info you could help me with. Thanks in advance!
If I succeed I might try to write a step by step guide on how to set up and broadcast video to your website
webcam streaming to a website - really need info!

Res, you have already asked this a few months back. I gave you a few links. None worked? How come?
This one is really easy to setup. Works with multiple cameras and does live streaming. It also gives you access to a free server (if you don't have one), but only if you buy the proggy. You can test it out, though. It's so easy, it even works with a digital camera.

For live streaming you might have to setup port forwarding for your modem/router. This site has step by step instructions (with screen shots for some) for most modems on the market how to do it: http://www.portforward.com/

After many hours of trying to set up the webcam, it looks like it finally works. Right now you can see it in the right column of http://www.PenpalsFinder.com
Thanks again, Pentool, for the link to webcamXP. Even though I failed to set up a server on my computer, after some thinking I decided that it would be much more secure just to upload the images via FTP (using the same program). The picture uploading worked fine, but now I needed a java script to load them to the page. After a quick search I found a script called Camzor by bloatedcowsoftware.com. I didn't want to start at first, but with some help from the developer I managed to set up the script. The email support was really great. He responded to my emails immediately and he was really helpful. You don't expect this kind of support with a program which costs only $5! Well, I am happy now, I know how to broadcast webcam to the site If you are having any difficulty doing the same, feel free to ask questions, I'd be glad to help if I can!

yay! goodie!need to reinstall windows...
after you reinstalled it, setup everything how you like (sounds, cursors, window settings, etc, etc), defragment, and just make an image of the clean install. next time you'll just have to copy the image. no sweat.
