I am going to buy a drawing tablet but I am so very unsure what to buy. When I buy a camera I know what I am looking for but this technology has me a little lost as to if it is something that I could really use and be a benefit for end up one those spendy things that is a pain in the rear and never use it

I just got the watcom bamboo yesterday for christmas and I'm LOVING IT! I'm left handed but have always used a regular right handed mouse, so having a tablet that lets me use my left hand is amazing. I'm thinking my graphic drawing skills will really go up. It only took 5 minutes to set up literally just had to plug it into my computer and install a disk and it works perfectly.

Well I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun it's one of the first models of the bamboo series. And I also have a wacom inkling. I really don't like the inkling since it doesn't turn drawings in to decent vectors to work with. But it might be I haven't played around with it much to get the hang of it.
But if your looking to get a tablet I would suggest a bamboo series tablet first and then upgrade later on when you feel like your ready. One thing to know is that its takes a little bit to get used to since your not drawing and looking at a piece of paper but your moving a pen on a tablet and watching the mouse move on the screen.
