@tainted look out how you are making the logo because I am not reading Wacom more. W-Aco- M. You need to think that people who dont know the company need to read it correct in the first time.

@prowdesign - You need to read the rules for making logo because you can't use bitmap pictures for in the logo only vectors.

@V - Nice design but might more for a paper supply.

This is the first I;ve ever seen the new Wacom identity...bizarre. Reminds me more of a party supply company. See my whack below. I see the "w" being being pulled out to stand on its own where the full name is not required (not unlike the Adobe "A").

love the pen tools and pads. . .between the old and new logo. . .old. . .new is even too much for me. . . BUT I am glad to see the 2.0 thing is no where to be seen. . .I am so done with the 70's subtle shades. . .pa-leeze. . .if they want to appeal to anyone under 40. . .c-o-l-o-r not color flavor.

well I know what I will be thinking about while my kids unwrap presents.

hummm Wacom. . .

be well
peace by peace, Dawn

imagination is something you can touch with d*zyns

Hope it looks good. I haven't stretched my logo muscles for a while so it might be a little "ugh".

guys, I realize most of you are brand new to the whole "logo design" thing, but you need to think through your designs more. You all should read up on the following literature, and keep all the points in mind when designing. and when reading these, seriously critique your own work to see if it really fulfills many of the points in the articles.

The Six Universal Attributes Of a Great Mark

http://logopond.com/...urces/articles/

http://www.andyrutle...application.php

and finally, nothing is better than reading another's design process, especially when that person is raja (an identity designer whom i greatly respect)

One should also note that Wolf Olins also recently handled the new logo for NYC Taxi's...which is equally awful in its own right. They've had a pretty bad track record of late (criticism wise).

@squarelogo, nice job. I suggest moving the symbol above the text, and decrease the size of the type, as the way it is positioned now kind of overly emphasizes the 'W', as it reads W W. I hope you get what I mean. Also, atleast keep the entire size of the image to within the constraints of the website layout (as you can see your image breaks width consistency). awesome work though.
