I brought canon cybershot SX270 IS one week ago. Please anyone can tell me which setting is best for professional photography.

To be honest, if you really wanna be a good photographer it is better to try all the settings and choose what do you like for yourself. There are plenty of settings and customize able things. Different photographer uses different strategies. You have to pick your own style and see what gives you more comfort. You camera that you have bought is pretty good. Try to see some samples from the internet and get ready to click the same photo by yourself. That will make you adjust the settings by yourself. Self learning is the best learning.

Wider apertures (f/2.8 or lower) allow more light but reduce depth of field. Use slower shutter speeds (1/30s or lower) but risk camera shake (tripod recommended). Increase ISO cautiously, accepting some graininess.
