Good source for royalty-free photos?

Could someone please tell me of some good sources for royalty-free photos (particularly business type photos). I'm interested in web sites or inexpensive CD's. Thank you for any help.
I use istockphoto quite a bit. The restrictions as far as their warranty for use is clearly written, which is a bonus. You will find photos available in almost any category imaginable, and can see how many times each photo has been downloaded - thus possibly avoiding using images that you may find in use in numerous other places as well.
Of course there's a ton of other options - all you need to do is a google search for royalty free images. Make sure that you read their copyright information, and fair use policies as well though so you don't get into trouble. Royalty free does not always mean that they're free for your use.

good photos here. use is on photo by photo basis, but most are free and un-restricted. some may want cred for using their photo or some poeple want to have you ask before thier photo gets used.
hope this helps.

Not that I have a problem with that but it gets tiring when your looking for some quick photos and you have to ask for permission to use photos that aren't even of good quality.

The artists' satisfaction is more on acknowledgement and appreciation of their works and not so much on monetary compensation.
Take care.
Its understandable though. Everybody wants some kind of cred for their work. And if it so happens that all you do is photography, then almost the only way to get it is to have the people using your photos give it to you. Its kind of a shame. I try to give cred where cred is due, but its not always do-able.

I used to use stock exchange exclusively, but it's gotten to be that almost every user wants you to ask for permission to use their photos nowadays.

Hi, if you do use photos off of sxc.hu, a majority of them are of high quality, there is actually a process in order for someone to be able to upload their photos. you can see a few of my photos here http://sxc.hu/browse...ile&l=jojomarie . For one of my photos I have had over 80 downloads within a month and not one person has asked me permission to use it, its fine if it just for personal use but i mean, if you are going to put someones face on the internet, it is nice to know where it is going to show up. Mind you there are the considerate users that have contacted me asked me to use them for certain projects, so far I have said yes to all my requests...for the publications or advertisements that have been printed, i have simply asked for 2 copies to add to the models portfolio.
The photos of children that i have on SXC are also of very high quality and have seen other paying sites charging up to as much as $200 for quality resoultions.
Sooo, to sum it up, i think it is worth it to take about 30 seconds to email someone to use their photo instead of having to take your own photos with your own camera or pay a rediculous amount to put one on your banner!
makes sense to me, jojomaire

Just looked over at my favourites, but not sure if these are all fully royalty free photos.

I'm pretty active on deviant art and I should say that most of the photos are copyrighted so you have to be careful when using them.

As long as you grab them from the Stock Photography section you'll be okay
