I'm new to these forums, but so far I haven't seen much in the way of photography-related posts, so I thought I'd get things going with two artists I find particularly fascinating...

Paxton Prints

Steve Paxton creates some amazing photographic work with a surreal look and feel. I recommend his tutorials on how he uses the burn/dodge tools in Ps.

Max Lyons

Max Lyons created the Library of Congress image used by Steve Jobs in one of his keynotes addressing the power 64-bit systems. Incredible photo-stitching yielding image sizes in the 1000s of megapixels. Be sure to check out the "Technical" link.

I'm also interested with photography but I'm still an amateur. I still need to develop the skills needed to capture images like that of professional photographers. Yes, I see that picture of a man asking for beer.

I have just recently been playing with tilt shift photography. It makes images look like miniatures. It is some cool stuff.

am I the only one who doesn't really like hdr images? ^^
I prefer "normal" pictures.
All those hdr-pictures look so unnatural :/

Yeah I am in agreement with you. I think they could be utilized for some advertising, but I would prefer "normal" pictures myself as well.
