great collection... i'm interested in getting into textbook design because i hear that it's not a very popular area of design and it pays well... does anyone do textbook design or know any resources? i'd imagine i could just research the publishing companies and submit my portfolio to them...

I love looking at book covers - I could be in the library for hours, and not necessarily to READ! :0) I had the privilege as well to work for a publishing company for a time and it was wonderful just to be in on the brainstorming and such and see a book cover come to "life"! These were great, thanks!

Nice collection. It seems that many book covers have a retro feel and overall design. Not all, but many. Part of me feels like this is due to very nature of books being such an old way of sharing thought and information.
