I have to agree with seanb. I was also sexually abused, by my father. I personally did not seek counseling, did not take any medications, and have not been diagnosed with anything except a major bout of depression when I was trying to recover from the ordeal.
Everyone, regardless of their childhood, is responsible for their own actions. I have no sympathy for people who claim a horrible childhood turned them into a "monster", as far as I'm concerned, millions of people survive traumatic childhoods and do not become a detriment to society, those few that do, cannot blame their childhood. They chose to do what they did, they are fully responsible for it, and should be held completely accountable.

I too was sexually abused at a young age. I was repeatedly raped & molested by a step father for several years starting at Age 5.
