Going to be working on a Canon EOS 500D isometric view of the body, purely out of interest plus to put a technical illustration in my portfolio. Had done allot of those but mostly confidential that I may not use their name in my portfolio. So here is a begin with setting up still need add the back and side so I got allot of points I can connect to build up the camera. Will make the camera totally in Illustrator and will not use a photo as the base but actually build it up from blueprint I made from photo's. Will probably take allot of time to make this but sure will learn even more about Illustrator while making this.

I myself will be very excited about seeing the finished product. I would love to see it as it develops. I am sure you could really help others with the knowledge you are gaining on this product. Maybe even a How to tutorial on different parts. Just a wish list. Can not wait to see the finished product

Good Luck

The best way to learn Illustrator!

Just looking at the blueprints, I'm sure you'll do an excellent job!

Here is a progress update finally found some time to do this. The top part was more difficult than I expected cause of the more round shape however still managed to make it with allot of guides I had to make and had to delete too cause in when I was finished with the top couldnt see what was what.

Looks very good! I like your focus on details, it shows that you are some kind of perfectionist!
