LOL omg that is as bad as the rising sun, (thing up the you know what) logo. I guess for (certain) types of businesses this type of logo would be perfect

Since prehistoric times vertical forms have been present in the dolmens and menhirs.
I think this does not mean that the artist unconsciously is trying to represent a phallus, this is a Freudian modern interpretation , sometimes a vertical form is is only just that: one vertical form cutting the horizon line.
