What program is best for Vector?
I prefer illustrator for a specific job

I would go with Illustrator. Maybe the tools don't different so much in Illustrator and CorelDraw, but the main aspect is learning the program to become a better designer. As Illustrator is more popular, then obviously there are much more tutorials and little tweaks you can find form the internet. So this was the main reason why I chose Illustrator not CorelDraw.

Illustrator is a good for vector in a first place, because you can use the EPS, embed the image and fonts, and no problems with scailing.
The Corel Draw on a second place, nice colour from Illustrator, you can save your work in a EPS, ussing that on Illustrator, or different.

Never had much time for Illustrator or Corel. Mainly because I adopted Photoshop as my go to program right from the start. Vector wise it can be a little frustrating to begin with but I'm at the stage where I can do pretty much whatever I like vector-wise, no hassle. Don't be afraid
