What program is best for Vector?

I use Corel too. Maybe Illustrator is more professional but I didn't learn it by now. Never say never.

I worked for 19 years in Illustrator, but forthe last 4 I have been working in Inkscape and I use Illustrator only for specific tasks (exporting, cmyk, pdf with layers...)

I think Corel draw is best for Vectorizing.

I worked with both Corel Draw and Illustrator years/tears ago.

At the time, Coral was a great PC program but due to PC limitations, the files were less portable.

System limitations meant that files might not open the same from machine to machine.

Fonts issues were a problem.

This was more of a Microsoft system problem.

PDFs eventually solved most portability problems.

Opentype fonts solved systen font transportability.

In the end, the Apple system was more stable and Illustrator gained dominance over Freehand to become king of the Vector programs.

For a while, Graphic Arts was the only business market segment dominated by Apple.

Smooth portability is an absolute must when conducting creative projects across timezones on deadline.

To this day, the large design studios that service the international advertising agencies use Illustrator.

Everybody is on the same page.

To that end, Adobe's subscription service business model has been very successful.

I still use their last non-subscription (purchase outright) program CS6.

I did purchase some Astute Graphics plug-ins.

Over the years, I have known many excellent designers who still use old versions of their favorite drawing program.

They know the shortcut commands. The features suite their needs. it does not over tax their aging computers.

If you a one man operation, it does not matter what you use, only what you produce.

All this being said, the market has spoken. If you want to get a job running someone else's computer in their design studio, the industry standard is Illustrator.

There are too many software available for vectorization but coral draw and illustrator are famous and well known for vectorization.
If you are redrawing or positioning a Vector Art then illustrator is the best for it.

I use Inkscape. It's free, has a lot of tutorials online, and most of the bugs have been fixed by now. Super easy to use once you get used to it. At this point I would probably have to start at ground zero with any other program!

Illustrator, Corel Draw or Inkscape are best for vector graphics. Progams like Photoshop are best for image and photo manipulation and you can use vector graphics in it but it is not as good as the others because it doesn't specialise in vector graphics

Please remember when using programs other than AI  to make  a legacy eps and or svg vector file.  Even when using a new version of AI make a legacy file. Many clients and myself included do not use the new AI . I never had the need to upgrade to the new illustrator programs so I continue to use cs4. MAny clients buy the older versions at a discount. when using the older versions   many of the files from newest AI versions do not open or open "blank" so saving a file as legacy is ALWAYS helpful

Corel Draw and Illustrator

Illustrator is excellent, though I never worked with other static vector programs. It's relatively easy to learn and it works perfectly with other Adobe apps.
