Oh! you should definitely check out this site.

Spoonflower: Print custom fabric on-demand

You can print you own custom fabric. So far I've just reupholstered a stool with my own design...but it's very cool and unique to have your own art on your furniture.

There are some nice fabric designs there but I think i'm going with dark brown leather.

just a plain leather? Not too creative, i'm affraid.. But U may think about customizing leather. I used to mark different leather items with hand-made metal stamps:)

It's a gorgeous design...I'd love to see what you decide on and how the finished product comes out. Good luck!

Beautiful chair.

Actually, to go with the metal, I'd do black leather. Or if you need more of a splash, a deep, rich burgundy. Good luck either way!

very dark colors like black would go well with the metal but since black is a bit "boring" I would go for some dark red colors - burgundy is nice, maroon, rosewood too.
Plus, don't forget that red is a stimulating color - energizing, exciting and motivating. So if you use the chair for work, rather than resting on it, go for red :)

Thanks for the post. I had no idea there were places to make your own prints in fabrics. It's great! I can fill my house with upholstered own designs. Thank you very much!

Sad to say but it would be lovely in just white, I know it's boring but white furnitures are pretty popular as it let the room lit up more and be brighter, more spacious. However, why stick to one color? From what I can see there is some fabric on the armrest as well, which I really like about the design, perhaps having a base color and then go crazy at the arms. Overall I really love the bottom part of the chair.

What about a two-tone scheme. Kind of like a sports car- thinking Italian like Lamborghini. The lines on the chair are angular suggesting motion and the caster arms are all in a simple curve but smooth enough design to illicit some feeling of aerodynamics. Maybe a little on the retro aerodynamics but still it could work. Perhaps a black/yellow or red/white. An embroidered logo would be a nice touch. I love embossed designs on leather but if you go slick and fast...stick with embroidery- to me an embossed design would work against it. Now you got me looking at my boring desk chair and wondering....hmmmm.
