Hey guys,

I plan on buying an LCD monitor with 22-24in diagonal size. The main use will be for graphic work: webdesign & 3D. What monitor do you use and which one do you think it's best ?

If you have a macbook pro, then you could get a LCD cinema display. It will give you a larger canvas to work on.
For a PC user Samsung LED monitors are good. I am using a samsung LED 22", and it is really good for me.

red_sand,
Well the best monitor is a lot more expensive than $300-$400.

In your budget range, you could get a Samsung P2770FH 27" 1080p You can also look at http://reviews.cnet....-p2770fh/4505-3 174_7-34333963.html

I tried one for video editing and graphics design and liked it so much I purchased two more.

$300 each.

Otherwise I would suggest Dell.

I want to buy a new monitor (scratched my current!), but I am pretty much lost. The most important feature for me is the accuracy of colors. Which monitor would you recommend? Let's say in the $300 budget range.

Hi Hanami,
I do not understand your needs, LCD / LED? also size?
but I'll try to answer the look of your budget. :)
My choice fell on ASUS VS238H-P - 23 "Widescreen LED
1 unit may range from $150
if you are accustomed to working with two monitors, it would be good for you!

see product details
ASUS VS238H-P

bestbuy - ASUS VS238H-P

Ebay - ASUS VS238H-P

You Have To Go for LED not for LCD to Get Good Result.
I Researched on this topic because i also want to purchase a New monitor and find the following are the best as per my knowledge

From Samsung:
S24B750 - PREZENTARE GENERALÄ‚ | SAMSUNG

T23A350 - PREZENTARE GENERALÄ‚ | SAMSUNG

From LG:
s

IPS236V | Monitor Super LED

If You Want to go for 21.5" then this is the best --> LG E2290V LED Monitor - 21.5"(54.61 cms)The Thinnest Style Statement. - LG Electronics IN

Hope This Will Help you to Select the Best.

I recommend only monitors with IPS panel. Everything else is the wrong choice for graphic designers. Who does not believe it should try :)

Well I've been in advertising business for over 20 years and my best never changed yet. LaCie of course if you're serious about design business. But yes, they are too expensive for home usage but they deserve every penny. I used to work with the old CRT LaCies but the new LCD ones are pro quality calibrated for design too with best color match with print. How pity I am that I'm using a laptop these days:)
