Hello Designers, in this contest you will be designing a book cover. The book will have the title "My Life as a Designer", you could even include a picture of yourself if you like. The style in this contest is up to you, the only requirement is that the size will be 350 x 500.

This contest will end on March 7/2005, 12AM EST, looking forward to seeing all of your designs, jojomarie :)

Can I comment on this? (... no you can't! ... ok, thanks...)

I like how you used that scribble with the 'designer' analogy. I like the big "DESIGNER" type, but somehow I don't see that sans serif (Arial?) working underneath it. I would've tried a different font (...and I'm supposed to suggest a few fonts here...?). Based on the cool and pale colors you used (and the flower scene) I assume you have a quiet life as a designer. At least that's what the cover suggest to me. (I'm not saying whether it's good or bad, I'm just simply stating what does this suggest TO ME.)

kpeatt I like it! Works very well!

The top half seems to be lacking something but the rest is superb

virgoletta: Very professional. Although I dont know what is in the top right corner? Anyways, its great, I think the orange complements the greys very well.

Your design has a very soft, calm style to it, elegant. I noticed one thing, with the text under the title, it looks almost like it is slanted, an optical illusion. Maybe if you moved it down just a tad, jojomarie

Ya, I'd like to know both the fonts you used on that one. They work awesome together, and your colour choices are just as good.

Virgoletta (hope I spelled it right),
I absolutely love your idea. I'm not a fan of the thing in the top right, but the type scene and background are fabulous. Again, great colour selection. I always thought orange and grey look great together.

Thank you guys for your feedback. Actually about the top right corner (the publisher) I could work better anyway...
