I tried to post this in a poll, but I guess I can't do a poll here. So the question is about the COLORS. Do you think the color combo on these buttons work or not (blue text on green BG)? Please post either YES or NO.

Thanks!

PS: You might've guessed that it's gonna be a horizontal navbar on a webpage.

it depends on the surrounding colors and layout. Though it doesn't look too good to me.

Just to clarify for those who might hesitate... I'm trying to pursuade someone that these colors wouldn't work. They kinda have similar saturation values, and not much contrast. As such, the letters don't really stand out and legibility suffers. But I can't win. So I said, OK, I'm going to post it on a forum and see what other people think. So there.

BTW. The rest of the page has the same green hue, but darker and more saturated value for the BG, yet another part of the page still have the same green hue, but very light value, close to white as BG (as if the page is split in the middle - half dark green half light green, and on top, there are these mid-value green buttons for navigation.)

I would have to say it doesn't work. One of the things I've learned about color is that as people become older they have a more difficult time distinguishing blues. So blue on a dark background probably isn't a good idea. ;)

Under no circumstances should a DESIGNER EVER use those two colors like that!! They offer no contrast (which sacrifices their ligibility) and they are both ugly and dont go well with each other...
