All entries eliminated?!

This has been on my mind for some time...

Recently I saw a logo contest here on DC where every single entry (out of 254) was eliminated without any rating and hardly any feedback on any entry. The designer even eliminated the designs he said he liked in the comments section. When I saw this, I didn't really feel like submitting my own entry any longer. I mean, how are designers supposed to know if they are going in the right direction with their designs? I was not surprised the CH did not find a suitable logo in the end.
I think DC might need to explain to some Contest Holders when to use the rating functions and when to use the eliminate button. What do you think?

This particular contest has been mentioned in a few different posts, I actually started a new thread on this a few days ago. DC have actually taken action and I know they try to explain to all CH's the importantance of feedback, to us as designers. I cannot see this contest online anymore, whether DC or the CH himself has removed it I do not know. But for the designers who put so much of their time and effort into designing one of the 254 designs, i'd like to praise them for their work. There were some excellent designs and hopefully they can be used again for future projects, for CH's that are more appreciative.
