I have a Canon Mark III. I had a Nikon and I loved that one too. But for me it was that I needed a camera that could shoot pro video and the Canon Mark II and III were the most sought after for commercial work and the bonus was that I could still use the camera for photography.

I'm a Canon person and am very happy with my camera.
A friend of mine is a Nikon person and he's very happy with his camera.
I think unless you're a professional, it's very much same-same.
It's not so much what's in the camera, than who is standing behind it.
