I have been using Photoshop for years, but recently I got Illustrator. I was wondering if someone out there could offer a good resource for getting familiar with the tools in Illustrator, some are different from Photoshop, I'd love to know which ones I should learn to use well, and how.
I'd love your opinions, please let me know your Illustrator experience. Thanks!

I totally agree with Sharie, the PEN tool will become your best friend. If I was you I would search for every illustrator pen tutorial until you feel confident that you know it. Another tool box I would learn is the pathfinder tool box. Pathfinder will become your 2nd best friend. Take tutorials and practice practice practice.....

My hardest tool to learn was the pen tool. hard to explain on here. once you grasp the pen tool you are golden. its your best friend in illustrator. you can create points which you can move and bend them to fit the image you are creating. if you don't have enough, you can add points or you can delete them if you have too many. hope this helps.

Learning Illustrator by yourself is very hard but if someone will guide it is very easy. Tips i can share you is that you know first how to use the function of pathfinder too. You should first identify which it the body color of the object and the stoke it self. This two things will make you start to realized the function of every tools.
