If you want to have fun with graphics you need a publisher program. A publisher program is a program that groups the abilities of word processor and graphics or clip arts from the paint programs. This is the fun part. Using Clip art combined with word and typing abilities you can do many things. You can add graphics on top of text and you can make your text flow around an image. You can add a text box on top of an image border and you can make the border around the outer edge. You can also import text from word processor.

Some clipart can be useful I do not refer to using clipart in logo contests
What I am referring to : I see an effect that is so cool on a clipart work, I have downloaded and looked at the way it was created. Basically take the clipart apart in illustrator and use it as a tutorial per se" I look and try to replicate the layer (s) You can find some outstanding illustrator artists out there and learn quite a bit through the art they create.
Clipart is not boring some of it is so detailed and life like makes you look twice if it is art or something real. You can also use clipart in other projects (if the end user licence agreement allows) Designcontest even offers free to use cliparts in projects Ecommerce and Business Icon Set nothing boring with this set of clipart/icons!

Art is to invent not to replicate.
Here we are not discussing the quality of the Clipart but of the lack of imagination that certain "so called designers" have, simply making little changes to something that does not belong to them and present them as an original one.
Boring is to see always the same "swooshy people", turning circles, and leaves used for every type of circumstance.
