Hey,
I've been putting off my "desire" to learn Flash for quite some time now. I promised myself I would learn it over the Summer, and well, it's now the Summer! I was wondering if any of you guys could link me to Flash tutorials pertaining to the basics and/or including flash in a web template (All I want flash for is web-design, nothing more). I've already completed the tutorials on the official Macromedia website but they only go so far. Please help me out
I appreciate it and thank you in advance!
Kyle

Hi Kyle -
I'm pretty new to Flash myself - but have found some great resources at www.flashkit.com that you might want to check out. They've got numerous tutorials, and pretty helpful in the forums as well.

Hi,
Thanks for replying. Yeah, I know about that site, I was just looking through it a couple days ago - thing is, I don't know where to start! :S I want to start off with general tutorials that relate to interfaces, actionscript, or the basics of Flash (learning the tools), then I will get into the specifics of certain effects which will lead me to know how to create my own..

What do you mean interfaces? Interfaces are probably the very last thing you should learn to do. Do you understand the concept of motion tweens and such?
Also the concept of slicing in flash is nonexistent. You import images to the stage by pressing crtl-r. The images are created in Photoshop and saved as regular bitmaps. In my opinion, the creation of a flash based site is the combination of several diffirent concepts and techniques ranging from animated buttons to preloaders...There really is no master tutorial that I have encountered that shows you how to make an amazing flash site.
