1. From your Adobe Fireworks, open a document that contains an object that you want to apply a stroke.
2. Select the object and notice that the fill and stroke properties are now displayed at the bottom of the screen .
3.Click the "Stroke category" menu and then click "Stroke options" , choose the type of stroke you want to apply .
5.To set the size and softness of the tip, use the "Edge softness" slider and the "Tip size" box under "Stroke options" box.
6. If you want to base the stroke on a texture, choose any texture from the "Texture" drop down menu, and then set the texture amount in the corresponding box .
