Alright, and how are the payments usually transfered to the winner? Is it through this website's paypal account? Because from what I understand the personal accounts cannot accept debit or credit card payments. I'm assuming this is only if the transfer is being done through another Paypal account.

yes, all the contests here on DC are guaranteed by the administration which means that before the contest starts, we receive the payment from the client and hold the prize for the winner. Yes, when you win a contest you will receive the money from the DesignContest paypal account.
