CorelDraw is simpler and easier to use if you're a beginner, but the standard and more advanced software is Adobe Illustrator in my opinion

Hey Famous Design,
Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw are the go to vector software applications in use by most high end illustrators and designers.
Illustrator is pricey...Corel Draw least expensive...I currently use both. Each one has its strong points as far as controlling the design.
Being able to deliver to clients has made having both essential. Most non-profits and small businesses (clients) are currently only able to aquire Corel Draw. You will have success using both.

Corel Draw is a program that allows you to create and edit vector images. It has many tools that you can use to change your image, such as a crop tool or a tool that allows you to add page layers. It is similar to Photoshop.

I have never used Corel but I'm thinking of acquiring it. Will I find it easier since I know the basics of Illustrator or are they totally different?

10 years ago I use to use only the program Freehand 10 from Macromedia. Now days I use more adobe illustrator. I don't think there is a "best" program, it all depends on what you need to do and which one has the right tools for it.

My opinion is all program is good, if anyone can use it professionally. The most important is the good idea. You can get inspiration from the internet, but have to understand the message of contest holder.
