Kind of a vague question that is hard to answer. I like illustrator. Adobe is the standard bearer. But one could easily get by with corel draw or several other vector based programs. Cause the main thing that makes logos great is the designer, more than any bells and whistles.

I like AI because most of the tools and shortcuts are almost identical with the other Adobe softwares that I'm using eg. PS, ID

I would have to say Illustrator. I keep uncovering new ways to do things because the program is so deep.

Illustrator is definitely my program of choice. I can see why some people prefer coral because Adobe usually comes as a package. Iv'e only seen photoshop supplied on its own so far (correct me if I'm wrong) If you've got the money then I'd say illustrator and the rest of the Adobe Bunch.

Illustrator is the best out there, but you will find other interesting programs such as Serif DrawPlus x5 which is more for beginners but powerful.

Illustrator and Freehand. I guess, Illustrator is the best because of easy usability.

You should go for Illustrator whether you're a beginner or not as long as you can purchase it.

Illustrator is my choice. I've also Coreldraw in the past but out of the 2 I preferred Illustrator for my purpose. It's also the most popular choice by designers and there's tons of videos and tutorials online.
