I prefer Illustrator because it is very well supported and common among the industry.

what exactly do you mean? if you are about to transfer a work of photoshop as long as it is layered and not used gradient, maybe there's a possibility, i have tried it once but i'm not sure about it and tried to zoom in and the raster image remains pixelated. so in making logo in DC. you must submit a vector format. if I were u, try to learn IA, its better and no other transferring process just to make a logo. goodluck.

I really found illustrator use to be straightforward, I started to use it about two weeks ago, i use the basic tools and yet create nice designs.

I was using corel for 5 years but about a year i was started to learn Illustrator and from than i forget to use corel. I think illustrator is the best.

I still use it, too. I think Illustrator makes design too complicated. I'm going to have to take a course in it to find out how to do the things that Freehand makes so simple. Oh, well :)
