Hello,

I have been approached by a client who needs me to design a classic winamp skin for him which has the same theme as that of his site. He has asked me to quote a price and I have no idea about what range I should set. But I am really capable of designing good interfaces:

check out the following two..

Suggestions are welcome,

Thanks..:)

Yeah, $250 sounds good for a starter.
How long did it take you to produce the work? On average, you find that most freelance designers charge around $30/hr. So, if it took you 8-9 hours...you should be safe.

Great job, though!

If the client rather go with a fixed rate as opposed to hourly rate, you can always ask what budget does he have for the project.

PS: nice skins

Well i haven't yet started the design of the current skin. Those samples I showed were some of the previous projects I have done.. just to give an indication about what sort of work I can produce. :D
Thanks 4 the compliment..:)

I agree with mx753 , 50 euros per hour should be a good price

I agree with the rest of the group at $250. That is the least I would charge.

However, I would assess how elaborate is this skin going to be? Use $250 as the price for an average skin and your minimal starting point. If this skin is going to be more involved you would then have to raise the price accordingly.

Knowing what to charge for your freelance work is a tough task. I guess the biggest question, and the one I ask myself when in the same situation, is... What is the job worth to you?

Hope we helped
