1. Login as Admin to your WordPress website , then go to the dashboard and click on "Appearance" and then select "Editor" in order to load the screen for "Edit Themes".
2.Under “Templatesâ€Â, look for the template that you want to edit and click on it. The template will load, and you will find a mixture of PHP and HTML code. The PHP code has the tags "<?php" and "?>" wrapped around it, and the rest of the code in the file is is HTML. You can edit the HTML code as you need and then click the "Update File" button to save the changes you made.
3. To edit HTML code for posts and pages, from the dashboard, go to either "Posts" or "Pages" and simply click on the content you want to edit. Switch to the "HTML" editing mode tab, by clicking on it from the top of the editor box. Now you can edit the HTML code as you need, but you have to use only the standards-compliant XHTML code. Click "Update" button to save.
