I agree - the final effect is very cool and visually strong, but there is an issue concerning different screen sizes. In some cases, this technique requires a lot of additional work from designer/ webdeveloper, I mean for example proper resizing, proportions etc. It's even more complicated, when you want to display a website in portrait orientation (on a tablet, smartphone etc)...
