I'm ready, but my classes begin at 11 this semester, so that's just me :)

I'm not surprised that you find Algebra difficult; not because it is (it's not) but because the schools do a really terrible job of teaching. As a matter of fact, most schools do very little actual "teaching" per se. They simply throw a huge amount of information at you and, if you're lucky, you'll learn something. Universities and most Colleges are no different, unfortunately. I was lucky enough to have gotten an amazing Math teacher in Gr. 12 and I took the class over the Internet (which I highly recommend) and raised my grade from 65% in Gr.11 to 85% in Gr.12. Not only that, I realized that I was actually quite good at Math.

The trick to Math is so utterly simple, but most schools ignore it completely and substitute their own philosophy of "remember this and you'll be fine". Well what if you don't want to remember it? When you run from a gun wielding maniac, is it because someone told you to do so and you remembered it? No. It's because you know why you should run from such a person (i.e. you know the reasoning behind the action). That's the best approach for Algebra (and any Math subject). Think about why you're doing what you're doing and break your problems down to an easy-to-understand level. Then, every time you're presented with a problem, the solution will come to you naturally, just like walking or breathing.

thnks for the tip _Redrum....i do agree with u tht learning basically depends on the teacher and i think tht is y i find algebra difficult since all my teacher does is give examples and thn gives the homework....he depends on his al-ready written notes tht he has been using for the last 10 years....i fell like hE himself doesnt noe much but just teaches whtever he has written down in the past..:S

Some of my teachers like of chem and bio...they realy noe how to teach...they make their own way to get the student to actually learn and put the stuff into the students head...they would actually explain the reason behind how it is not just wht it is....

In algebra, i fell like i only goto tht class to get homework since i actually spend time at home, going through the text book and teach myself the stuff...but it gets hard sometimes but i try to manage tht....i keep saying in my head.."THIS IS MY LAST YEAR....THIS IS MY LAST YEAR!!!!...COMMON YOU CAN DO IT!!!!" lol and thts basically how i get through my day at skool:Plol

btw do u go to university/college?

No problem. I'm in university right now, not last year for me unfortunately, but I am getting to do less and less of what I don't like.

im ready.
I live in brazil by the time, and we usually get to work
by 8 am, and get out at 18pm. In fact this is my work time now.
I will back to school this year, so time will be hard to lead, because
i will go to school at night.
But i think that if you have the opportunity of have a job and
to go to school even, you should appreciate it and wait for
new chances to expand.
