The shading looks off to me - The light source seems to change from letter to letter. It's also a bit strange that the exclamation point is rounded and the rest of the text has chiselled edges. The Y also looks slightly narrow. Maybe it's just me but I don't like it!

i have seen yahoo logo designs on some logo design contest sites. for me the older yahoo logo is much better than this.

naahhh.... the new design doesn't stick to me when I think of YAHOO!. Old one is still better

I agree that the old yahoo logo was better. This isn't bad, but for such a big company I'd expect something more.
