To remove the title from a Joomla site home page do the following

1. From your Joomla administrator panel go to Site->Global Configuration.
2.Go to "Menu->"mainmenu" . Click the "Home" link which has all your front page’s settings.
3.Search under "Parameters" and select "Hide" . This will stop the site title or the Home title from showing on the main page.
4. If you cannot want the headers for every content sections to show, scroll down and set the option Section name as "Hide".
5. If you want to hide all titles on the home page, set the Item titles option to "Hide.
6. To only hide the site name, turn off the option Page Title .
