iPhone 5 enables recording video and taking photos without stopping the video recording. To do this, while recording your video, go to the top right of your screen and tap on your iPhone’s camera icon. The photo will not be full resolution, it will be 1920 x 1080, which is not bad.To be able to shoot multiple photos while recording video, set your camera to Photo only mode..
