help: Dividing a line in to equal parts

can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to divide a line in to n number of equal segments?

Add Anchor Points (Object > Path > Add Anchor Points). It will add an anchor point between existing points. Use the Scissors tool to divide on the anchor points.
