I don't have the money or webdesigning know-how to create a portfolio site.

Are there any good FREE sites I could use to post a portfolio?

I use artwanted.com, not the beat postfolio site, but it does its job....you can only post 3 images a month(on free acct)
You can arrange 10 logos on a page and upload as single image;)

Thanks for the help. I'm not much of an internet person. I just use my computer to work and not much else.

I am working on creating a portfolio hosting site at http://www.creativebinge.com. It won't be launched until the end of February or early March, but you are welcome to sign up for the notification email.

You will be able to post 10 portfolio items for free, and other users will be able to rate and comment on each piece.

There are some free programs lang wordpress, joomla, drupal, plone and more but you need a hosting for these.

Other alternative is to register to some artist community website such as: deviantart, gfxartist, cgtalk, and alot more. You can just register and start uploading your portfolio.

Goodluck.

Thanks, rasterbox and colordesign.

I'll look into those options. I'm currently trying to piece together a starter portfolio. It's tough when you've mostly had your hands tied by stubborn clients. I'm going back through and changing some bad ideas that they insisted on.

This stinks because I'm my own most ruthless critic.

im currently using carbonmade.com as well. i think it does the job and you can upload something lie 35 images! Also, ive checked out deviantart, its a great site lots and lots of interesting work there, but there are so many people on there it tends to be really laggy.

Good Luck getting it together, and dont foget to post your link or something, so we can check it out?

For anyone interested, I am now accepting new members on creativebinge.com. The site is still in a beta period while I work out all the bugs. If you're interested in having a free portfolio and getting your name out there, I recommend signing up and posting some work.

It's also a great source of inspiration to browse everyone else's portfolio.
