while I like this design, looks better with content, I like your first better...the 2nd seems to light?...the first isn't total vector??...it would be easy to convert to vector;)

thanks for feedback

should I convert the first one to vector? or is it ok to use raster graphics for this contest?

BTW which color you liked most for the first entry?

EDIT: I've just converted it to vectors anyway :)

I like the layout, maybe a little to big in the logo area?, good design:)

x4lov post #25/ #44
very nice! I like that you've incorporated an area for the previous version!
and the pms area looks great:) It is a little to wide though....post #44....now, the dimensions better...thinking on which I like better:)...

asango post #27
looking better, the content isn't the focus;).....nice clean design:)

guetizo post #32
very nice........I like the one use area, meaning the all color versions in one area......this design works well:)

designer3d712 post #33
great changes, its pulled together, I'd make the designer name, version bigger(make flat color, grey, etc...smaller).......very nice:)
photoshop is fine.......:)
just save so it can be edited later(name, client, etc)

morethanjustok post #40
revision is perfect...:)

Tapir
I like the lighter grey better, it doesn't 'take over' the design....
raster is fine......:)

Thanks for all the great entries....it'll be hard picking one;)......this contest runs til friday....Thanks:)

hey everyone. i like the submissions. i like the idea x4lov has for the previous version. good direction. i was actually thinking of a color variation window also. but we have limited space. anyway, i decided to give this a go...

How about the corner? Also, there's that check box for clarity and two PMS slots that aren't numbers (for those non-numbered pantones).

IT IS A GOOD CONCEPT. STILL, IT LACKS ENOUGH SPACE TO REALLY SHOWCASE THE LOGO IMO... AND THOSE CHECKBOXES FOR CLARITY ARE A BIT MUCH, SHALL I SAY.. BUT OVERALL... GOOD CONCEPT!!!

morethanjustok - That is good, I am working on one with very similar information and will post shortly (got a good chuckle at 'what entry is really worth' and thinking of dr. evil's $1,000,000)

ENTRY#22

Well, it's been extremely busy here at work and I am finally close enough with me file to present it to the group. Here is my introduction of the LEFT HANDED CANVAS! Yes, the canvas orientation is not dominated by those people who are right handed any more. I strove to have an equal balance on this canvas on both sides, with the artwork taking center stage.

Additionally, there is a section for comments from the designer (because who has ever just sent off a design file without wanting to tell the client something). Second, the date section. Simple I know, but it needs to be on any canvas when working with clients. Some people work the date into their version number, but I think it is easier for the client to have the date a-la-carte.

Good work from everyone else, I have really enjoyed seeing the creativity!

Expect a revision to this entry if I have time before the deadline closes to fix the small line adjustments. Woot!

that bottom one is a good spoof, lol, you should add some more elements (how not to design a canvas!)... you forgot ethnicity!!
