Hey design folks, I was born too late to experience the wonder of 90's internet and the prevalence of websites like these:

https://www.cameronsworld.net/

http://www.themostam...heinternet.com/

http://www.theworlds...ebsiteever.com/

https://www.warnerbr...m/movie/jam.htm

As much as these sites break every single design rule I learned in school, I love them and I think they are cool. Does anyone know what this style of design is called? I've heard everything from "90's" to "GIFmageddon" to "seapunk" and I'm very confused. I will be taking my first web design class this summer and I'm expecting most of my sites to look kind of like this (at first) so if this has a name, I'd like to know what it's called!

That's definitely what  the majority of Geocities looked like circa 1998,  I'm not sure there's a name for it,  but it would slow an old browser down to  standstill with  those lightning fast dial-up modems.....

...(insert telephone modem sound here)....

It was bad design  then,  and technically still is,  but seeing as it's a throwback  to  two  decades ago(and now I feel  real old),  I suppose  there's some historical  charm  there.  I'd simply call it "kitsch", because really,  that's what it is.

...good links, I used to build Flash  websites,  made excellent money  doing so  for about 4 years then it crashed and burned faster than it arrived,  and there were no  more jobs designing Flash  sites.

Yes, The main reason behind it is that the designs were attractive and easy to navigate, therefore, It is mandatory for every for company owner's to develop their business websites with compressed but high quality logos that are being designed by logo design company for their clients.
